A 3 bedroom pets welcome static caravan for hire on Somerset coast at Blue Anchor near Minehead.

Our 2003 holiday home is fully equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay at Blue Anchor. The fully fitted kitchen has an electric cooker and oven, fridge, microwave and toaster. The spacious lounge area has a TV with Freeview and a Blu Ray DVD player. There is an assortment of DVDs, CDs, books and board games.

There is a shower room with toilet and wash basin.  The main bedroom contains a double bed with dressing table and built-in wardrobes. The other bedroom consists of 2 single beds and a full height wardrobe. There is a pull out sofa in the lounge that converts into a double bed.  Therefore this van can comfortably sleep 8.

There is a fully decked area to the front of the caravan facing the seafront with table and chairs to sit out and enjoy a glass or two while watching the world go by.  The sea views from the static caravan and balcony are simply wonderful with views across to Wales, Minehead and Hinkley Point .  From the sea wall you can watch the local fishermen & dodge the high tide sea waves as they splash over.  The area around including Blue Anchor Bay has an excellent night sky, ideal for STAR gazing. The pictures really don't do the position justice.

The site has an Indoor Pool (passes are an additional Charge or can be paid each visit), gymnasium, a crazy golf course, kids play area. The adventure play area has the climbing frame zip line; smaller children are catered with swings & a seesaw. There is a large area for football.  This area is safe , regularly checked & locked at night, a laundrette (Free Use of an iron & board is available in the laundrette), a fully stocked shop as well as a lounge area with a small selection of acrcade machines. There is also free Wi-Fi throughout the site.

The site is quiet and and a great place for young families and couples alike who want to get away from it all. It is worth noting there are only limited children's activities at times during the school holidays in the pool area.

There is a great café next to the site and a couple of good pubs serving excellent food a short walk away.

There is plenty to explore in the local area, with the splendours of Exmoor the highlight with excellent scenic walks nearby - Quantock's and Exmoor National Park plus the beach which are within a 10 minute walk. Dunster with its castle and cobbled streets is only a 10 min drive away. With other delightful towns to visit such as Washford, Lynmouth and Porlock.

Plus with Butlins just down the road in Minehead there is plenty for the kids to do for full days out.

Blue anchor also has a station for the West Somerset Railway, so if Steam is your thing an enjoyable trip on the railway is just a 10 minute walk. The trains run along the back of the site so you can always view them.

After each visit the caravan will be professionally cleaned, to maintain our high standards.  While this caravan is an older model it enjoys all the conveniences and comforts you would expect.  Guests need to bring their own bedding, pillows, duvet covers, bath/tea towels, sheets, etc.  You can collect your keys from reception after 4pm (closes at 6pm) and the caravan has to be vacated by 10am.

We have just returned from a weeks break at Hoburne Blue Anchor. The caravan is in a prime location, at the front of the park, having amazing views overlooking the sea (the pictures really don't give it justice). As the description states, this is an older caravan, but it still has all the home comforts and accessories you need and to be honest, apart from one or two cooler evenings, we spent the majority of the holiday on the decking enjoying those glasses of wine making the most of the view! Although the park doesn't have a club, there are two great pubs, just along the front, both within walking distance, selling excellent food. There is also a cafe just next door to the park which sells breakfasts and delicious home cooked meals. We visited both pubs & cafe and can recommend all. Minehead is just a short drive away, or, just round the corner, you can jump on a steam train at a reasonable price. All in all, a great location, non commercialised and very relaxing. All communication was prompt and friendly from Sheena, so thankyou. I would highly recommend.
